Spring is near...it's almost here!

I have always LOVED pink. In high school my friends and I painted my room the hottest, brightest and quite frankly the ugliest pink...it was such a bad paint job my Dad called in painters the next day! AT any rate, I didn't give up my love of pink and I always seem to gravitate to all things pink. It also makes me think of Spring, which is arriving next week! While it may not feel warm in the Northeast yet...I know it's coming!

Here are some of my favorite Spring finds and of course, that pink thing keeps sneaking in everywhere I look.

I just got this Theory pink gabardine suit. It seemed just the right shade and not "too pink" I'm going to love it going into spring suited up. I plan to change it up and wear the pieces separately with denim and black as well. Wearing it to an event today!

Some other great finds in pink apparel were these pieces from Veronica Beard.

Love this pink dress...

Another great suit option in pink from Veronica Beard. The button detail is very special. I could see this with just about anything!

We are gearing up for Spring parties and wedding at Carolyn Bender Events. We just did a taste test luncheon for a client lunch. While we won't personally be catering the party, we did a little trial run on something we are working on with one of our favorite caterers. This was my version of a lobster cobb salad. YUM!! It was a hit, can't wait to recreate this for a Spring party.

Our non-traditional Cobb salad had lobster, celery, green beans, tomato, avocado, and we substituted crispy prosciutto for bacon. We topped it off with my favorite dressing... champagne vinaigrette!

We served the lobster Cobb with a side a Brussels sprout salad. I think as we get into spring it would be nice to change the salad to a yellow wax bean or possibly a beet salad. I'll try those out soon!

The Brussel sprouts were lightly sautéed with olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. I added some shaved parmesan, chopped green apple, and usually will top it off with some sautéed pine nuts.

We also had a little leftover bread so we toasted it up and sautéed a few mushrooms, added some goat cheese. Presto! ! Quick bruschetta as well with some tomatoes and herbs.

We used some leftover tomatoes, tossed in some herbs, and put it on toasted bread. Perfectly delicious.

You can buy toast in the store and spread a little hummus on top, but anything looks elegant and gorgeous when you put it on fine china. I pulled out my favorite dishes. I've had these Queen Victoria from Herend China for many years and I never tire of using them. They make everything look better and what a perfect touch for a spring lunch!

Let's talk about a cocktail! These would be perfect cocktails to add to the menu. We are planning on serving this Raspberry Rose Margarita at an upcoming party.

We also love this as another cocktail option Pink Señorita looks so refreshing!

So pink flowers always make their way into my home I am so excited the cherry blossoms are available now.

I am yearning for another room to redecorate. I would love to have this pink couch from Mitchell Gold Bob Williams. How soft and luxurious does this look!?? I love it. Would be amazing with all my grey accents. I am seriously considering this as an addition to my office.

I am working on a wellness luncheon and getting into the swing of things found someone to make these custom tea towels. Love what Jennifer Helene Home created for me using these inspirational words... #Peace #LOVE #Happiness and #LUCKY #GRATEFUL #THANKFUL

I am always amazed at the talent people have creating these custom made pieces.

Another fabulous find were these cake pops by Pops by Alexa. They are so adorable. She did gorgeous pops for a wedding event for us and custom made these "clouds" for my next event. She is so creative and can make just about anything. I am amazed by her beautiful and delicious cake pops!

These beautiful rose colored pops dipped in gold were perfect for a recent wedding.

These matched our tablescape and wedding palette perfectly!

I am in LOVE with these bottles from JNSQ. We just encountered this new wine from JNSQ who offers a white and a rosé. We are so excited to partner with them on and event in April. How gorgeous these will look on the bars!

I hope you're as excited as I am about spring arriving next week, and I hope you spring into the weekend with great style!
