Date Night or Valentine's Day Dinner?

Updated: Feb 5, 2021

Some tablescape and fashion ideas to set the mood!

Whether you might be celebrating with someone special or some friends at home,

I have two beautiful tablescapes to share with you, that will put you in the mood for entertaining at home.

I'm so excited to partner with Amy Atelier in Scottsdale, Arizona to also bring you some fashionable looks for a special night as well.

Whether you are staying in, going out or need something to freshen up your spring wardrobe- Amy has so many great fashionable finds you will love.

What started with a surprise delivery of some roses led me to little mix of color and an ombre design in my florals. I love anything ombre, marble and tie dye. You might have noticed, and sorry but not sorry, you will be seeing a lot more of it from me.

There are so many great patterns and fabrics these days in both home decor and apparel.

When I started collecting these Ginori 1735 dishes I was so torn which color to go with.

I just love them all. I started with the azalea pink and the black and white and a touch of turquoise. I kept going back to the Vermiglio pattern which is a peachy pink. They are a bit hard to find these days as they are so popular, but Shop KSW has them all!

I did recently add this peachy pink color and I love the way they look- layering the pinks together with black and white as a base. I guess I call this feminine with an edge?!!?

I simply added some extra flowers from the grocery store and brought in all the colors of the plates to create the ombre feeling. I actually just picked up a box of votives at the grocery too for a little extra candlelight and in the evening it really set a great mood.

I used touches of lace and leather for accents. Why not?!

These Kim Seybert placemats and beaded napkin rings are a bit of a contrast to the soft floral napkin from Dascoli but I wanted to create texture and interest to the table.

Feminine with a few edge details.

While we are really only 2 at home for dinner these days

(sometimes a child might drop in) I did set the table with these fun placecards from

Mr. P'sPlacecards. Whenever I buy placecards I always get our families names and close friends, add a few blanks and you can always have something to set the table special on hand at any given time.

I have barely put a dress on all year, but I am planning to start dressing up even to stay home. It's been too long!

Gotta get back in the swing. This

Veronica Beard dress that I found at Amy Atelier has a soft feel and would be a perfect look for a dinner party.

Pair it with quilted leather jacket if you plan on going out.

This quilted leather jacket would be perfect over the dress or just as chic with a white and jeans and a pair of heels.

When you still want a dress but feel like something a bit more casual at home check out this Smythe relaxed dress .

Amy Atelier has so many cute dresses in the store. I love this because look how great it is with slides. I don't know about you, but I have barely worn shoes since March!@#$%. It's sneakers to the grocery store. Does that even count???

I have invested heavily in slippers and slides. Who woulda thought?! I do wear those all day staying home. This is my new fave pair. These black slides are perfect for staying home and still being stylish. I know noone sees your zoom shoes, but at least you can feel like you are really dressed and honestly I plan to wear these all summer long everywhere!

The slides also come in a neutral color as well.

Some days I like the table formal and some days I really enjoy the relaxed feel of California vibes and sunshine. I used the same flowers but created a totally different feel with our everyday dishes from Soho Home.

Mixing textures I think creates alot of interest. The pottery is a bit heavy but with a soft gauzy runner and with wicker textured placemats from Fete Home the look still feel feminine and light. Lots of candles and antique inspired accent plates and silverware to set the mood. I was really channeling ABC Kitchen in NYC vibes.

Missing dinners in one of the best places!

I already warned you about the tie dye:). These are just perfect to round out the look.

I found these napkins on The Avenue. While they didn't have enough in the first color I chose- it didn't matter. I ordered two different colors. Isn't that the point of tie dye?

No one piece is alike!

This casual boho vibe deserves the right look for entertaining at home or your date night.

Maybe you just throw on a silky top with some jeans? This lilac Iro camisole is so pretty. With a soft cardigan would be a chic but casual and cozy look for staying in or going out.

If you are in one of those crazy snowy places right now here's another

is so yummy and soft from Amy Atelier.

She has so many more looks I wanted to share with you, but there was only so much space and time here!

Do check out her website for all the great fashion finds.

My other favorite new shoe that I think are so fun, stylish, yet comfortable are these bejeweled slides.

I'm takin' my Birkenstock look up a notch! Slip these on with your cashmere and jeans for dinner.

The whole tablescape felt a bit Coachella and Boho inspired.

My fashion choices were too!

One last idea to take your lounge wear up a notch.

Whose been wearing sweats or yoga pants all year?? I confess. I am.

Loving this soft silky Camo jogger pant. A sophisticated jogger look for sure.

Pair it with the neutral Iro camisole and the slides dress it up with a jacket for nights out or pair them with a t shirt and sneakers. SO many options.

It's a new year, new month and Spring is really not far away.

I hope you found something to inspire you for a new tablescape or a new look for yourself or a gift for someone special.

Pretty flowers, tables, and clothes are putting me in a new and uplifted mood, I hope this little capsule will did the same for you!

Enjoy the Weekend!

Carolyn

xoxo
