It's that time of year.... wedding fashion week is arriving in just a few days. There are so many gorgeous gowns to see and so much to plan for the brides and grooms to be. We have some gorgeous details to share from a recent wedding soiree at The James Hotel in NYC.
The bride wore Spina Bride.
Dinner was catered by Scarpetta restaurant and there was a gorgeous and delicious cake from Lulu Cake Boutique. There are so many more special touches that made this an amazing night for the couple. We had many special details customized for the night. We have a the most incredible photos from Michael Jurick to share with you!! Take a look below.
How stunning Do they look! Just LOVE this gown from Spina Bride and the details.
Take a look at this beading and her gorgeous jewels.
The look was simple and elegant. A soft and dangling earring from Jane Kaye available at Vincent's Fine Jewelry.
A delicate but glittering arm! We love the look of these layered gems another stylish look from Jane Kaye available at Vincent's Fine Jewelry.
The room was stunning with this tablescape I designed and adorned with GORGEOUS floral and candle detail from Spina Events.
Here is a closer look at the table details. The minute I saw these linens at La Tavola Fine Linen I was dying to use them. I kept them in my mind for over a year, finally this wedding opportunity arose. The linen overlay is a cross between cut lace and leather. It has intricate detail like lace but feels like soft leather. The soft blush tone looked amazing over a champagne/ silver tone and the napkin was perfect with the rose border trim. The look was just magnificent. The dishes, stemware and silverware from The Tabletop Company were just stunning with gold accents. I particularily love the brocade charger in pink with gold trim. This made for a fantastic base among the custom hand painted menu cards from Ceci NY.
Champagne is always a great way to celebrate! One Hope wines donate to various causes for each bottle sold. We love the glitter detail on the bottles. The Tabletop Company champagne glasses with gold trim added a special touch.
It really is ALL IN THE DETAILS!
A toast to # PEACE, LOVE & HAPPINESS!!
I encountered these beautiful and delicious soft chewy almonds from Confetti Milano and thought they would be a nice little favor to place at each guests' seat. They will customize the colors and the little floral detail to enhance the parties decor.
They come in SO many different flavors. I especially like the Stracciatella flavor. I felt like I had a bite of gelato!
These stunning chargers from The Tabletop Company were perfect for displaying the custom placecards from Alpine Creative Group. I love the script writing and rose gold to coordinate with the table decor.
We also had menus on each table from Alpine Creative Group that had the details of the delicious dinner from Scarpetta we served. Dinner was a choice of a roasted salmon with assorted vegetables and a delicious steak dish.
The first course was a delightful dish of seared duck breast with a delicious side of grain salad. YUM!
Also, for the main course, the tastiest steak ever accompanied by broccolini cooked perfectly!!
Scarpetta does amazing desserts too. I always think that at a fabulous party it is hard to get the guest to stay in their seats for dessert. By this time- the dance floor is usually packed and the party is in full swing. As an event planner at Carolyn Bender Events I always suggest having items that are bite size and can be passed around the room to guests by the waiters. Everyone on the dance floor always loves it!
Assortment is key! Why not?!? This way everyone has a bite of something different or...just the exact thing they had a sweet tooth for!
The gold chargers are from The Tabletop Company. They are a rental company with the most unique assortment of china and accessories.
OK, now time for cake! This beautiful 3 tiered work of art from Lulu Cake Boutique had 3 different layers and flavors inside. Not only was it gorgeous, their cakes are really delicious too!
Alexa at The Poppery custom designed these cake pops to match the linens and other table top details. They are literally a work of art. We served them for dessert, but they would be a great party favor too. She can wrap them individually and they are a great idea for a departure favor at the end of your party.
We had an amazing night, and it was hard not to enjoy things among all the beautiful details, delicious food, music, smiles and laughter. I do know from many years of event planning at Carolyn Bender Events things can at times get stressful. Just remember to enjoy yourself. This should be a TOP 10 Day and memory!!!
The evening can seem like it goes by in a flash. Make sure to capture it all on video and photos. Before the big event make a "shot list" for your photographer and videographer. This way they know exactly what to capture as the evening goes along and the groups of people to get in key shots. You will be thrilled to relive it all and enjoy the photos after the event.
We were so lucky to have Michael Jurick capture everything in photos.
Here is a sneak peak at video Edward Stuart Grant captured on video.
Most Importantly...Relax, make sure to BREATHE, and just ENJOY yourself. I've seen it all...power outages, shipments short of materials, candelabras fall down...not to say that these things are not upsetting...but the moral of the story is the day only happens once and ... those are just incidents they don't change your course of happiness and they actually get corrected when you have the proper staff around and a team to help you out. Having your friends and family there to share this special day with you and your other half is all that really matters. Smile, have fun and make it a top 10 day!
